The Chief Executive of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), Guy Parker, has been re-elected Chairman of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) – the voice of advertising self-regulation for Europe.

Guy was reappointed at EASA’s Biannual Meeting in Madrid at the end of April. For one more year he will continue to lead the Board in its work to implement EASA’s new three-year strategy, which has at its heart the advancement of ad self-regulation’s merits as an essential piece of the regulatory puzzle.

Guy Parker says: “I’m honoured to be re-elected Chairman of EASA. I’ll be making sure we have the space and support to pursue our mission of promoting responsible advertising in an interconnected world where global problems increasingly demand global solutions.”

Guy became Chief Executive of the ASA in June 2009, having previously been Deputy Director General, Director of Complaints and Investigations and Secretary of CAP.
