Misleading Advertising: Magna-Health Ltd is in breach of the UK Advertising Standards Code for making unsubstantiated efficacy claims for magnetic products on the Magna-Health website: www.magna-health.com.
The CAP Compliance team has contacted Magna-Health Ltd several times about removing claims that magnetic jewellery can offer pain relief or treat arthritis and migraines. CAP is yet to see evidence that magnetic products can offer health benefits for humans or animals.
Despite repeated requests to remove the problem claims, Magna-Health Ltd continues to feature them on its website. Because of Magna-Health Ltd’s continued non-compliance we took the decision to place its details on this section of the ASA website on 22 August 2012. These details shall remain in place until such time as Magna-Health Ltd has removed or appropriately amended the claims on its website to ensure compliance with the CAP Code.
