Misleading and Irresponsible Advertising: Antwi Electric Limited breaks UK advertising rules for implying that privately-owned electric scooters can be used in public places on the www.antwielectric.com website.
After reviewing the website, this entry has been reissued on 3 December 2024 as Antwi Electric Limited continue to feature videos showing the use of privately-owned electric scooters in public places, and therefore break the rules.
The ASA has previously investigated ads for electric scooters and ruled that implying privately-owned electric scooters can be used in public places is misleading and irresponsible.
Despite repeated requests from the CAP Compliance team, Antwi Electric Limited continue to advertise videos showing the use of privately-owned electric scooters in public places.
Due to Antwi Electric Limited's non-compliance and disregard for the CAP Code, the CAP Compliance team took the decision to reissue its company details on this section of the ASA website on 3 December 2024. These details shall remain in place until Antwi Electric Limited remove from its website, any material which suggests that privately-owned electric scooters can be used in public places.
