Background

Misleading Advertising: Go Night Night breaks UK advertising rules for the misleading use of The Federation of Antenatal Educators (FEDANT) logo on their website, www.go-night-night.com, which implied they were registered with FEDANT. 

FEDANT, who said that Go Night Night were not registered with them, challenged whether the use of the logo was misleading. Go Night Night did not respond to the ASA’s enquiries. In the absence of evidence to show that Go Night Night were registered with FEANT, the ASA concluded that the use of the logo was misleading. 

Go Night Night promotes a sleep consultancy service for babies and toddlers to parents and guardians across the UK on their website. The logo appears on each page of the website.   

The CAP Compliance team contacted Go Night Night but, in the absence of an assurance to amend their website to comply with the ruling, took the decision on 19 November 2024 to place their company details on this section of the ASA website. These details shall remain in place until such time as Go Night Night has appropriately amended www.go-night-night.com to comply with the CAP Code.
