Misleading Advertising: X3 Ltd t/a Singer Outlet breaks UK advertising rules for misleadingly changing the closing date of time-limited promotions on the www.singeroutlet.co.uk website.
The section of the CAP Code that applies to promotions states “Closing dates must not be changed […].” The CAP Compliance team has observed a pattern of time-limited promotions on the www.singeroutlet.co.uk website, which automatically renew after the closing date has passed.
The CAP Compliance team attempted to contact X3 Ltd but, in the absence of an assurance to amend their website to comply with the Code, took the decision on 25 September 2024 to place their company details on this section of the ASA website. These details shall remain in place until such time as X3 Ltd has removed or appropriately amended the claims on www.singeroutlet.co.uk to ensure compliance with the CAP Code.
